Went to the gym this morning and it was only Mike and I there. We rolled for about 40 minutes almost an hour. Some notes from the session:
- look for leg locks. Don't look to finish, look to get into the position.
- from open guard, need to establish sequence. Breakdown opponent using lapel or sleeve --> cross grip --> tripod --> de la riva
- attack from open guard.
- try to establish knee through middle quicker and anchor down. Make them spread their legs.
- work on reversing position when working in someone's half guard. Possible knee bar available.
