Warm up:
3 x 3 min rds of flow rolling (knee started to hurt again, so I sat out)
3 x 2 min rounds of guard passing (partner tries to sweep or submit)
3 x 2 min rounds of working from guard (partner tries to pass)
Technique (heel hook and knee bar from x-guard):
Sweep
- x-guard entry, slide in and go to foot look position w/ overhook and make sure other knee is in their knee
- grab the overhook leg and bring it accross
- pinch knees
- cup heel and sweep
Heel hook
- same entry as above
- bridge to get opponent going the other way (opposite of trapped leg) to expose foot
- foot should be trapped in pit
- gable grip (side that is trapping heel, hand should be palm down)
Inside heel
- same entry as above
- bridge and bring leg across
- foot should be trapped in pit
- gable grip (side that is trapping heel, hand should be palm down)
Knee bar
- same entry as above
- bridge and bring leg across
- trap foot in the bend of the neck and arm should be under leg*
- hip out and get outside leg in between legs
* finishing the knee bar note: you must be on top of the leg, not the other way around. can't finish that way.
