What a day!

Yesterday was one hell of a day. I woke up around 6:30am to go meet up with my friend Ryan and run 10 miles. We run the 10 miles and the funniest thing is that we ran together the whole time yet my Garmin watch was .05 miles behind him. Go figure.

10 miles - 1:22:08 (8:13/mile)

1st mile - 8:25
2nd mile -8:23
3rd mile - 8:24
4th mile - 8:17
5th mile - 8:15
6th mile - 8:03
7th mile - 8:06
8th mile - 8:15
9th mile - 8:11
10th mile - 7:46

I definitely feel we could have pushed the pace harder, but I felt overall we did a great job pacing. It'll be interesting come January 20th. Ryan definitely pushed the pace and looks to be in great shape.

So after the run I head down to the gym to help out. Mike tells me he needs one more person for the WOD and I end up getting sucked into it. As a team you must complete the following:

3 rounds for time of:

50 squats
10 ring dips
25 recline pull ups (with rings)
.25 mile run with a 54 lb kettlebell

My partner (Mike P.) and I finished in 1st with a time of 20:32 and didn't have to do burpees because of it.

After the WOD, I ended up doing the jiu jitsu class and rolling for a bit. I have to say this was the most exhausting day of my life!
